serves member cultural organizations, their staffs, their boards and their communities in celebrated counties of the greater Hudson Valley - Metropolitan region, offering technical assistance, a resource network and
professional development opportunities to advance the work of historians, historic house museums, heritage centers, historic sites, archives and libraries in this National Heritage Area.
History keepers are multifaceted and multicultural. They are
archaeologists, architects, archivists, conservators, curators, educators, filmmakers, genealogy researchers, interpreters, preservationists, public historians, volunteers and all manner of consultants! LHC's
members collect, preserve and interpret the region's story in a diversity of sites amid urban, suburban and rural settings that span the 17th to 21st centuries.
