Description: The Bronx River Parkway Reservation, Westchester’s oldest park, is an 807-acre. paved linear park created as an adjunct to the Bronx River Parkway that opened in 1925. Description: Historic Hudson Valley is a network of six sites dedicated to preserving the history of the Hudson River Valley. Sites include Philipsburg Manor, the 18th century farm and grist mill located in Sleepy Hollow; Van Cortlandt Manor, an 18th century estate with a tenant farm house; Sunnyside, the home of Washington Irving, he acquired the property in 1835 and improved and expanded it over the years.
